TWO NEW MEASURES WERE TAKEN TO MAKE HIGH SCHOOL ENTRANCE EXAMINATION (LGS) SAFE FOR STUDENTS' HEALTH

Two new health measures were decided to be implemented for the High School Entrance Examination (LGS).

The first measure is about the delivery of the question booklets to the students. Last year, the question booklets were given to students an hour after the exam. In order to eliminate the possibility of violating social distance this year, starting from Monday on June 22, booklets will be distributed to students who ask for their booklets.

As a second precaution, the examiners will be wearting surgical gloves when distributing the question booklet and answer sheets.

Stating that every precaution was taken to make the exam safe in terms of health, Minister of National Education Ziya Selçuk said "We do the cleaning and disinfection of all school buildings for the examination.  As we announced earlier, we will disinfect our students' hands at the school entrance on the exam day and distribute free masks. Now we have decided to implement two more significant measures concerning the examination process. Accordingly, in order to avoid a chaos and preserve social distance we will not distribute the question booklets right after the exam. Our parents can get children's question booklets from schools starting Monday, 22 June. Question booklets and answer sheets will be distributed and collected by using surgical gloves to prevent the examiners from touching the exam papers. My colleagues are reviewing the procedure over and over again. If there is another precaution needed, we will immediately take a decision and share it with the public. May all our families and children be assured that all the bodies of our Ministry are following up the process closely."
