Minister of National Education Ziya Selçuk sent a letter to students along with their record cards. The letter which is accessible to all students on e-school application was also published in the social media account of the Ministry.
Noting that children scored an important achievement, Selçuk stated, "You have displayed great patience and you stayed home for days. You have made a great effort; you have followed your lessons on television and computers. There were billions of entries to EBA. Today is the report card day. You have earned this and I would like to thank all of you for your effort and patience."
Stressing that students experienced the pandemic process that affected the whole world, Selçuk said children had to stay away from their schools, friends and social life during this period.
"You have stayed home for the sake of the health of all our people, you did this to keep everybody safe," stated Selçuk, "You have followed your lessons on EBA an EBA TV, you held on your education. You cooperated with your teachers. Thank you for your support and effort. So glad we have you, so glad you are the children of this country. I wish a nice, healthy, productive holiday which will be full of unforgettable memories. Take care. Teacher Ziya."
Minister Selçuk also gave a "report card" to parents
Minister of National Education Ziya Selçuk shared a "Parent Report Card for Distance Education" in his social media account. "Dear Parents, every year you were receiving record cards for your children. This year, you became a student with us and with your children. We have received the greatest support from you. You deserve to get a report card. On behalf of all teachers, I would like to thank all of our parents."
The record card gave "Five/Excellent" mark to parents in "Supporting Distance Education", "Follow EBA TV", "Having a Good Time With Children", "Cooperation with Teachers" and "Patience, Attention and Care."
Thank you messages to teachers
Teacher Ziya sent thank you messages to the cell phones of one million teachers.
The message said:
"Dear Colleague,
You have shown us how to be a part of a team, how teachers can keep on teaching under all kinds of conditions, how they can continue to hold a hand of a child and become a part of a solution during distance education. I thank you although I know it would never be enough and I hope to open the doors of schools in happier and healthier days."
