Sample assessment tools for formative evaluation were prepared by the Ministry of National Education in order to follow the academic and social development of students, monitor their development levels and to adopt a process-oriented assessment approach. 

 

Assessment tools are used as a part of course activities, thus providing instant feedback to the student during the formative evaluation process.

 

Formative Assessment Activity Examples were prepared by the Directorate General of Assessment, Evaluation and Examination Services in accordance with provisions stating: "The academic and social development of students in pre-school and primary school 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade students is constantly monitored by course teachers. The development levels of the students are evaluated and monitored through participation observation forms in individual and group activities carried out under the guidance of the teachers and through the game-based evaluations and measurement tools aimed at fulfilling assigned tasks." The provision stated: "Measurement tools are used to monitor and develop the 'listening, speaking, reading and writing' skills of primary school students in order to improve the correct and beautiful use of Turkish." were also taken into consideration by the Directorate General of Assessment, Evaluation and Examination Services while preparing the Formative Assessment Activity Examples
