R&D ERA AT THE ADVANCED TECHNICAL SCHOOL FOR GIRLS

Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer chaired the assessment meeting participated by his spouse Nebahat Özer, Presidential Culture and Arts Policy Council Member Hümeyra Şahin, Director General for Lifelong Learning Sabahattin Dülger, directors general and principles of advantaged technical school for girls.
 
Increase in the impact and production capacity of schools as well as innovation of traditional approaches were the topics of the assessment meeting.
 
Minister Mahmut Özer stated that advanced technical schools for girls have an important place in the protection of cultural inheritance and its transfer to younger generations adding that, "Currently, there are 24 advanced technical schools for girls in Turkey and we will adopt a new approach to these schools. We have focused on the existing problems of schools and transformation opportunities during the assessment meeting. We have discussed ways to increase the visibility and production capacities of the mentioned schools."
 
Noting that they have decided to transform all these schools into R&D centers and reconstruct them within this context, Özer said, "From now on, these schools will transfer our culture to future generations and also work in an effort to register designs, useful models and brands of their productions. We have allocated 6 million liras as the startup support for the reinforcement of their infrastructure. We will continue to fund the advanced technical schools for girls. I would like to express my gratitude to Emine Erdoğan who supported the transformation of these schools into R&D centers."
