PSYCHOSOCIAL SUPPORT ACTION PLAN AND PSYCHOSOCIAL SUPPORT PROGRAMS ARE PUBLISHED

Psychosocial Support Intervention Teams, consisting of two department heads, guidance teachers and psychological counselors from the MEB National Psychosocial Support Team were assigned to 10 disaster areas in accordance with the requirements and have been working in the field from the first day of the disaster.
 
The MEB Post-Earthquake Psychosocial Support Action Plan was prepared to be implemented in all provinces by the Psychosocial Coordination Unit, which was established to provide services swiftly and efficiently. All provinces were notified of the action plan with an official letter.
 
In the MEB Post Earthquake Psychosocial Support Action Plan, all processes related to psychosocial support activities for all students, teachers and parents in our country, especially in the provinces directly affected by the earthquake, were determined.
 
Consisting of unit chiefs, volunteer guidance teachers and psychological counselors, the Action Plan will be implemented by the Psychosocial Protection, Prevention and Crisis Intervention Teams. The implementation of Psychological First Aid (PIY), Earthquake and Loss-Mourning Psychoeducation Programs, Teacher Psychoeducation Programs after Challenging Life Events and Psychoeducational Support Group that provides Psychosocial Support Services for Psychological Counselors and Guidance Teachers in Disaster and Emergency Situations has been determined in the Action Plan.
 
The Action Plan consist of Psychological First Aid (PIY) documents, psycho educational programs on earthquake and loss-mourning, brochures, story books, presentation contents and books on Psychological Resilience in Family and School after Traumatic Life Events which are prepared and published to support children's perception and understanding of the incidents and  to help their recovery.
