PREFERENCE COUNSELING SUPPORT IN DIGITAL PLATFROM FOR LGS PLACEMENTS BEGINS

Minister of National Education Ziya Selçuk announced that starting from tomorrow the Ministry will start giving online preference counseling services for student who entered High School Entrance System (LGS) exam for placement in High School institutions via Education Information Network (EBA) adding that that these services will be carried out in a digital platform.
 
Noting that similar to last year, the the Ministry aims at making contribution to placement of students to higher education institutions in line with their interests, values and skills by giving preference guidance, Minister Selçuk said, "Our preference counseling unit will give online service to students on Education Information Network (EBA). The preference counseling unit established as a part of our Counseling and Research Centers (RAM) will also offer choice counseling by phone for students who do not have access to the internet. School principals will inform students about when they can receive preference counseling service. We call on our students and parents to make use of choice counseling."
 
More than 13 thousand counselors will work in preference counseling service
Minister Selçuk stressed that counselors will start working at the preference counseling service starting from tomorrow adding that, "During this period, approximately 13 thousand counselors will work in the online preference counseling. Our teachers will get in touch with students via EBA starting from tomorrow."
 
Minister of National Education Ziya Selçuk added that counselors will also offer preference counseling for students who entered the Higher Education Institutions exams.
