Minister Tekin and his accompanying students visited the First Grand National Assembly of Türkiye on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Republic. The Minister and students visited the War of Independence Museum. The Manager of the War of Independence Museum Fatma Hicret Un gave information to the students about the museum.

 

Underlining that October 29, 2023 has a special importance as it is both a holiday and the 100th anniversary of the Republic, Minister Tekin said that as one of the most meaningful events of this day, they have visited the First Grand National Assembly, where all important decisions were taken, with primary and secondary school students.

 

Stating that children learned the topics such as the War of Independence and the declaration of the Republic, which are theoretically taught in schools, in the First Grand National Assembly, Minister Tekin said that the main function of the Ministry of National Education is education. Stressing that it is very important for children to protect the philosophy, spirit and independence of the Republic and to pass these on to future generations, Minister Tekin underlined that the declaration of the Republic on October 29 was not only a change of government system, but also the defeat of the imperial powers that had colonial ambitions on this geography. Emphasizing that October 29 is the day when the independence of the Republic of Türkiye was manifested, the Minister Tekin said that they are trying to teach children to protect this country, independence, state and nation on this important day.

 

Congratulating the nation, children and teachers on the Republic Day, Minister Tekin wished that the coming centuries will be the Century of Türkiye in which Türkiye successfully struggles alone against oppression and imperial authorities in the world.
