The delegation, consisting of Ministry bureaucrats and teachers, headed by Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin, walked through the Lion Road and reached the mausoleum of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. Minister Tekin laid a wreath to the mausoleum and then the delegation paid one moment of silence.

 

Minister Tekin signed the Anıtkabir Special Book at Misak-ı Millî Tower and wrote:

 

"Our Head Teacher, August Atatürk,

 

On the 95th anniversary of your acceptance as the Head Teacher of National Schools, we are at your presence with our teachers, who are the guarantee of our future, coming from different parts of our country.

 

As members of the most honorable profession, we work to achieve the ideals of our Republic, considering each of our children as a torch of our future, wherever our glorious flag flies. In this historical process, in which we realize the 100th anniversary of our Republic and set out with the ideal of the "Century Türkiye", we are moving forward with firm steps and determination towards the goal of "rising above the level of contemporary civilizations" that you have given us. Our teachers, the architects of our future, will continue to raise our children with the love of homeland, nation and Republic with the strength they get from our deep-rooted history, and to enlighten them under the guidance of science and wisdom on the path you have drawn.
