The "Flowers of the Same Garden" choir made up of Syrian and Afghan students in addition to Turkish students from primary and secondary schools will give a concert at the Presidential Symphony Orchestra (CSO) hall in Ankara as a part of April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day activities.

 

Choir member children who arrived in Ankara from İstanbul with their parents have visited Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer.

 

Özer expressed his happiness to accept children at the Ministry and said, "You have been working with sacrifice for the last two months. You have formed such a nice choir. I hope that it will become permanent. I wish that you will be the first step of a gradually increasing project. The beauty of the choir is bringing all of you together. I believe that it is important to get to know each other, blend cultures, and join forces for peace and fellowship."

 

Minister Özer thanked Aylin Şengün Taşçı, school administrators of teachers who helped choir members adding that, "Children mean effort, fellowship, peace, future and welfare... Our children are sending a message about peace and hope for the future."
