Within the scope of his inspections, Minister Özer visited the container city of Beydağı in Malatya, the citizens in the containers in Teknokent and the students in the container classes yesterday. 

 

Özer visited Mehmetçik School today as part of his program in Malatya. Stating that they have seen the curiosity and desire to learn of the students, Minister Özer thanked the Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar for his valuable support in the disaster area where they are mobilized for the education of the children.

 

Meeting with the teachers working in the tent classrooms established in Malatya, the Minister thanked all the teachers for their outstanding effort and sacrifice during these difficult times of the country. The Commander of the 2nd Army General Metin Gürak accompanied Minister Özer during his Malatya visit.

 

After Malatya, Özer made investigations in Gaziantep, İslahiye today. Making inspections in the educational environments in İslahiye, Özer visited the Mehmetçik School, kindergarten, support and training courses (DYK) and education and training points established for other education levels in Gaziantep. Özer also visited the Islahiye Container city and had conversations with the citizens.

 

Özer then attended the Provincial Coordination Meeting to discuss the issues related to the education and training processes in Gaziantep and its districts. The final preparations for the education and training activities, which were suspended throughout the province and planned to start on March 13, were discussed in the meeting.

 

The Governor of Gaziantep Davut Gül, Governor of Bingöl Kadir Ekinci who is also appointed as coordinator governor of Islahiye, MEB Director General for Higher Education and Foreign Education Murat Süt, Provincial Director of National Education Yasin Tepe and other officials attended the meeting.

 

Özer also visited the Mehmetçik School in İslahiye, Altınüzüm with the delegation accompanying him and talked with the students and parents

 

After his program in Islahiye, Özer will make inspections in Osmaniye and Adana.
