Deputy Ministers of National Education Sadri Şensoy and Petek Aşkar visited the ETKİM building and received information about the activities.
Stating that ETKİM will operate as an educational technologies-oriented R&D center belonging to the Ministry of National Education, Aşkar stated that the center will bring together all relevant units and stakeholders.
Aşkar said that a participatory and sharing structure will be developed in the digital education and innovation ecosystem with the understanding of "Let me be an influence on education and our future" with the participation of all stakeholders and teachers in particular.
Stating that innovative products, ideas and solutions in the field of educational technologies will be tested by revealing the human resource potential, Aşkar stated that an environment will be prepared with the participation of all stakeholders for the development of human resources, pedagogical models and R&D outputs in line with the future vision of the Ministry on digitalization.
Emphasizing that a strong cooperation model will be developed for the active use of educational technologies thanks to ETKİM, Aşkar said that professional development studies, pilot applications, R&D studies and technology development activities will take place in the professional learning laboratory in order to effectively use educational technology investments.
Aşkar stated that the initial projects were prepared to be implemented during the establishment phase of ETKİM. Stating that it is planned to establish working groups that will include all the units of the Ministry about digital gamification in education, increasing the usability performance of digital education platforms, technology-supported professional development societies, initiating innovation ecosystem development with school-based professional development projects, Aşkar underlined that new projects to support the R&D and innovation culture will be developed by this group in cooperation with the Ministry units.
Aşkar stated that ETKİM will play an active role in the effective use and development of Education Information Network (EBA), Teacher Information Network (ÖBA), Student/Teacher Support System (ÖDS), Mathematics Education Platform, English Education Platform DIALEKT/DIALECT, Turkish Education Platform, English Education Platform, Public Education Centers Information Network (HEMBA) and Vocational Education Augmented Reality Platforms.
