Deputy Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer, Director General for Vocational and Technical Education Kemal Varın Numanoğlu, department chairmen, Ministry of Culture and Tourism officials, Ankara Provincial Director of National Education Turan Akpınar and his delegation and Chairman of the Animation and Movie Producers Association İsa Doğmuş, members of the association as well as the ISF Studios representatives were present at the opening ceremony of the R&D center.
Deputy Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer said during his speech at the opening that lesson curriculum will be completed in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and sector representatives until the end of March.
"We are aiming at defining a school in the same field in İstanbul and providing required infrastructure support for the establishment of R&D center. This will allow us to give training in this field in two separate schools in Ankara and İstanbul," said Özer.
Özer stressed that this center will be an important step in educating human resources needed by the labor market in the field of animation, virtual reality and animated movie which has a high added value for Turkey.
Noting that the program based on digital content development will start giving education in the next school year, Özer stated, "Lesson curriculum will be completed in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and sector representatives until the end of March. Our school will be the first R&D in this field in Turkey. We have started to give formatter training for the teachers who will work in this center. I would like to thank Dr. Ertuğrul Çıplak for his support to the training programs. These programs will continue for another 3 months with the support of sector representatives."
"Teachers who completed these training programs will give training to other trainers," said Özer adding that, "We are aiming at defining a school in the same field in İstanbul and providing required infrastructure support for the establishment of R&D center. This will allow us to give training in this field in two separate schools in Ankara and İstanbul".
Students will enroll in this program according to the results of an exam and these schools will play the role of digital content development R&D centers which will be the first of its kind in Turkey.
