176 MILLION LIRAS IS ALLOCATED FOR 1.000 SCHOOLS IN THE VOCATIONAL EDUCATION PROJECT

First performance assessment meeting of the "1.000 Schools in Vocational Education Project" is chaired by the Deputy Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer. Director General for Vocational and Technical Education Kemal Varın Numanoğlu, Head of Strategy Department Mehmet Fatih Leblebici, Director General for Support Services İsmail Çolak, Director General for Special Education and Guidance Services Nezir Gül, Director General for Measurement, Assessment and Examination Services Sadri Şensoy, Director General for Construction and Real Estate Umut Gür, Director General for Information Technologies Özgür Türk, Minister Advisors Dr. Sevil Uygun İlikhan, Dr. Aylin Şengün Taşçı, Dr. Hayri Eren Suna and Provincial Directors of National Education of 81 cities of the country attended the meeting. .
 
The first three months of the project was assessed by considering performance indicators during the meeting. 1.000 libraries were established in 1.000 schools within the context of the project. Moreover, 85 million of 200 million lira budget was allocated for the reinforcement of existing labs and workshops.
 
Repair and maintenance of 1.000 schools were prioritized within the context of the project. As a part of these activities, 50 million lira was invested in 2020. Within the framework of reinforcement activities, 250 million liras was allocated for 2021.
 
First aid, intellectual property rights, measurement and assessment methods training programs were organized for teachers working in these selected 1.000 schools as a part of the project.
 
Deputy Minister Özer stressed that the project aims at increasing the quality of vocational and technical education as well as reducing success differences between schools adding that, "We have started this project 3, 5 months ago. 1.000 Schools in Vocational Education Project is a project that includes school administrators, teachers, students, parents and school environment. Everything goes according to the calendar. Till now, we have invested 176 liras to these schools."
